This site is meant to introduce the powerful eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, and a portion of the biological evidence it left behind. In a short history, one will be able to learn about life before, during and after the eruption. The following two sections of Pompeii and Herculaneum will present the main information of this site dealing with the body casts of Pompeii and the skeletal remains of Herculaneum.The timeline section contains many of the major events dealing with two sites since the time of the original eruption.The final section titled further information contains three areas (Links, Documentaries and Bibliography) for learning more on the biological evidence of body casts and skeletal remains during this period in history
